Project screen is not working after new Windows 10 installation.
#1 I am running into a slight problem when I try to use Project 64 v 1.6. I just recently upgraded to Windows 10. I can load the games just fine, but when I try to use the full screen mode, the games will be flashing. I'm wondering if Project 64 is not compatible with Win 10 or if I need a newer version. Hi, there is/are one or two checkboxes to tick in Project64. That should be located under the Option tab in the General configuration window. Can't remember the actual name of this/these option/s but it should be something sounding similar to "open rom and start emulation", "start fullscreen" or "start emulation fullscreen". If I set the fullscreen resolution to 640x480, the monitor's resolution will change, but the graphics will only be displayed in the upper left quadrant of the screen. The rest of the screen has a lower-resolution version of my desktop showing. This is similar behavior to my other Windows 10 machine with nvidia graphics.

#1 Hello, I'm using Project 64 Version 1.6 with a Samsung 16:10 Widescreen Monitor and cannot get rid of the black-bars at the bottom and top of the screen, even when pj64 is windowed they are present. Was hoping to get rid of them as I. When stuck in this black screen, the only way out is to press ctrl+alt+del, and blindly go to the "change user" option ("down" and "enter" after pressing the combo). After logging back into Windows, the issue is gone. Another way of avoiding this issue is to alt+tab from the game, exit it from the taskbar or forcefully killing the process.

1. OK, since you're using Jabo's plugin there are several things you could try to fix this: Revert to an older version of the plugin. The newer ones are known to, sometimes, cause flickering on Windows 10. (1.52 has been documented to work for some people) Change the aspect ratio. Use double buffering in the settings. Share. #2 Some games freeze because of core issues. Try pressing F2 to pause and unpause every time it happens. I think these kind of problems will be solved in Project64 1.7. ulaoulao Controller Man Staff member Sep 21, 2006 #3 Agreed, I find save states will do that a lot.

Basically i want to keep the 4:3 Aspect Ratio of the old TV-Screens, this means that i have 2 black bars on each side (I have the same Setting for CS 1.6 which i also run at a lower resolution). While this works fine with Banjo-Tooie, all other games fill up the whole screen, ignoring the resolution that i choosed. I dont know why.

When I set my game to full screen, it enters full screen and the game runs smoothly but the game display flickers repeatedly from the game to a blank, black screen. There's one problem though, aforementioned that it doesn't save your settings. Every time you open it, you have to re-enter your settings. This is probably because, as said before, this is likely a developmental release, and the "Use game-specific settings" option doesn't work. Here's the problem. I have two displays, my desktop and my TV. I run Project 64 in full screen on my TV. When I was running Jabo's plugin it worked fine. After I switched to Rice's what happens is I try go into full screen on my tv, but it switches over to full screen on my desktop. Nothing but the regular background is displayed on my TV.

I have a problem if I have to switch from full screen to windowed mode because I have to change joypad settings or something. If I hit Alt+F4 it crashes sometimes, or the game gets slow and it changes the windows resolution to the full screen resolution. I have to press Alt+F4 about 4 times that.
